It is difficult for me to decide how I REALLY look like....
Perhaps like this?....

Awareness

(photo by Fausto of East Row in full moon)
Awareness is the presence of my Soul, my Spirit. Before I became Fausto I just was;  an immense landscape lost
beyond the horizon. No thought could possibly emerge in that space because there was no mind, the receiver and transmitter of electromagnetic wavebands. My mind came as a package with the creation of a human body that the mind quickly called Fausto. When I realized that the guy I called Fausto was a projection  my mind, a kind of hologram,   I 'saw'  in a flash the vastness of my Essence. Once aware of my Awareness, my world became fuller and more fascinating. I couldn't take photographs any longer as a commercial job because I could not 'see' what everyone else was seeing and calling Reality. I slowly grew out of a profession to grow slowly into another: Yoga.
Awareness home is the right hemisphere of the brains: the ability of perceiving data without the presence of thought. A direct connection with the Spirit.

Dee's urgent news

http://deedee100.blogspot.com/ Visit Dee's Blog and check her 'URGENT NEWS'. Can you do something about it?

A red energy moved through me....

This morning I woke up with a strong feeling of motivation. As usual, after a shower and a shave, I sat in siddhasana with the intention to get closer to that stirring feeling within. I let my mind fade gradually away by allowing my breath to diffuse in my tummy as I inhaled and as I exhaled I let my shoulders. arms and wrists drop.
After a while, that disturbing feeling that was unsettling me begun to surface. A warmth developed in my solar plexus, diffused rather than sharp, and my breath changed texture. Smooth as velvet but full and confident in the journey between the in and the out breath. I remained still... awaiting, while the warm sensation continued to  spread in my chest, then my throat.... soon ... my eyes and forehead begun melting, kind of losing shape, and tears surged from my eyes, literally, like in a mountain stream. Some time went by... the warmth had gone....
I felt so light, almost floating above the floor. Soon, like in a kaleidoscope, my sensations shifted away and a new, fresh experience appeared: I felt in love. I felt love in every nuance of my feelings, love for everything, for myself and my life, for everyone in the universe, 360 degrees vision. As I opened my eyes, after time had passed, I got up and got involved in my daily routine as nothing had happened. It felt just like that, like nothing had happened.
Moving through the morning, though, I noticed that , physically, I felt like dancing, supple and in harmony, and emotionally absolutely still and glowing.  (((((omshanti)))))

A brilliant website to visit....

A place where the most radical and intelligent speakers gather to touch on  a variety of deeply interesting subjects. Visiting is a must. Navigate through the subjects or speakers and watch the videos.

Watch out...

Stormy weather...

Remember that behind the clouds and a storm, a beautifully serene, deep and unchanged blue sky exists.
In the "I" one just exists untouched by the story that unfolds in the "ME". When in Triumbhakam it is suggested that  Shiva ( the Lord of Yoga) is guiding us from mortality to immortality, what is meant is that in the  "ME"
one identifies with the storm (Ego and Mortality) but through Shiva's help one journeys to the "I" (Spirit and Immortality)

Obama's call to action....

The Obama Administration has asked the "Evolutionary Leaders" to communicate about what is transpiring on the planet, and how we can change the course of the unprecedented events that are challenging this planet. This is a window of opportunity for this information to be conveyed to the Obama Administration.

The Evolutionary Leaders like Deepak Chopra, Gregg Braden, Michael Beckwith and many, many others, gathered together to write up the
information to present to the Obama Administration. They are also asking us to sign a petition to show the Administration how many people are in favor for these changes to occur. They need 10,000 signatures. We need your help to reach that number and beyond! Below is the information presented to the New Administration.

The petition link can be found here:

By the Evolutionary Leaders
The human family is in the midst of the most significant transformation of consciousness since its emergence in Africa over one hundred thousand years ago. Consciousness has been evolving for billions of years from the first cell to us. We are becoming aware that through our own consciousness the universe can know itself. This awareness reveals incredible new potential for our individual and collective humanity.

Simultaneously, we are the first species on this Earth aware that we can destroy ourselves by our own action. This may be the greatest wake-up call to the evolution of consciousness since the origin of Homo Sapiens. We now realize that we are affecting our own evolution by everything we do. This knowledge awakens in us the aspiration to become more conscious through subjective practices including meditation, reflection, prayer, intuition, creativity, and conscious choice making that accelerate our evolution in the direction of unity consciousness and inspire us to deeply align our collective vision.

THE CHALLENGE
At this juncture in human history, urgent global crises challenge us to learn to live sustainably, in harmony and gratitude with one another and with the living universe. The changes required of humanity are broad, deep, and far reaching. Only by acting swiftly and creatively can we birth a planetary culture that will bring well-being to every form of life in the Earth community. The good news is that a compelling new story of our potential as a whole human species is emerging-a story of collaboration, citizenaction, dialogue and new understandings propelled by unprecedented levels of democratic freedom, multicultural exchange, and access tocommunication technologies. It is nothing less than the story of our
collective evolution.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACTION
We recognize that the inner and outer aspects of life evolve together. A dramatic awakening in consciousness will involve an equally dramaticshift in outward aspects of our lives. In particular, we see the following as vital opportunities for our conscious evolution, both personally and collectively:

Cultivating a Paradigm of Aliveness:We regard the universe as deeply alive and conscious by nature. In a living universe, our sense of subtleconnection and participation with life around us is the basis for a compassionate and cooperative approach to living.

Educating for an Evolving Consciousness:Awakening consciousness is the foundation for all the change we seek to see in the world. We can work to elevate our capacity for conscious reflection and creative action in our personal lives as well as our collective lives as communities. We must support research and educational strategies that optimize human capacities and explore the nature of consciousness.

Restoring Ecological Balance:The balance of planetary ecosystems isfundamental to our survival. We must reverse the pollution of our global commons-the water, air and soil that nourish all life. We must encourage the proliferation of clean, renewable energy sources and expend all necessary resources toward mitigating the effects of climate change.

Encouraging Conscious Media:We must find innovative ways to use thenew electronic media as the mirror of our positive evolutionary story, investing in their capacity to reach across differences of generation, culture, religion, wealth, and gender to build a working consensus about our collective future.

Engaging in Social and Political Transformation:More sustainable waysof living will require the support of a more conscious democracy andvibrant civil society from which more enlightened leaders will emerge. All individuals should be encouraged to use their gifts to createparticipatory, responsible and compassionate models of governance.

Working for Integrity in Commerce:Conscious businesses that are awareof the scope, depth, and long-range impacts of their actions are key to achieving sustainability.. Business must become an ethical steward of the Earth's ecology and consciously establish an economic basis for a future of equitably shared abundance.

Promoting Health and Healing:The science of mind-body-spirit healthhas demonstrated the profound connection between the health of a wholeperson and the health of the system in which he or she lives. Wholesystems healing, respecting both traditional knowledge and modernsciences, must be supported in physical, social, and spiritual domains.

Building Global Community:The new story is about all of us who sharethis planet. Together, we can create a culture of peace that eliminates the need for armed conflict, respecting and appreciating the glorious diversity of our human family.

YOUR PARTICIPATION IS VITAL
Our group has done its best to articulate possibilities for the evolution of consciousness at this crucial moment in time. Please reflect on this document, feel what resonates in your being and calls forth a response on your part. We invite you to discuss it with others, continuing this global conversation by adding to it the wisdom that is uniquely your own..Together, let us co-create a new narrative of conscious evolution that is a call to individual and collective action, birthing the most significant transformation of consciousness in history. Join in the Call to Conscious Evolution by signing the pledge now.

Mosaic Artist and Ocean Sculptor

Celia Gregory is a fascinating artist and an old friend and student of Innergy. In our early days she contributed
to the enrichment of our Centre by donating us the wonderful mosaic that hangs on our wall. She created it for us depicting the home of Chakras and the journey of kundalini through the psychic body. The sun and the Moon,
Hatha Yoga. At the moment she is dedicating time to grow her "Marine Foundation" to expand awareness of the reality of our oceans as a life-sustaining environment. Check her website :   http://www.celiagregory.com

Linton Farm Wellcombe North Devon

Rosina and Demian, the owners of the farm, are organizing retreats based on Art-Yoga-Dance starting from next june. Check it out :   http://www.creative-retreats.com
Rosina is an artist and art teacher and Demian is a composer/pianist and a Yoga teacher.  They are married an have 2 children. Its a great place to be, just few minutes from the sea.

Living is LOVE

Not having time to do what you LOVE it not an excuse. The right way up, the skillful means,  is to be able to arrange everything else you NEED to do around what you love .

Lou Stanion on Africa

Louise Stanion, a teacher at the Centre, has returned from an assignment in  Namibia with masses of beautiful photos of the African landscape. Excellent photographer. Worth checking her blog at:  http://soulimagery.blogspot.com
Lou's sensitive teaching has gathered a good following to her class on Monday evenings. A gentle introduction to hatha yoga postures quite suitable for beginners.

A new teacher at the Centre

Kirsty Norton joined us two weeks ago and teaches Monday morn at 10:30-12 and Tuesday eve at 19-20:30.
When I first met her I was instantly captivated by her warm and positive personality and a lively delivery of her thoughts. Kirsty sensitive approach to asanas, whether dynamic or more meditative, makes her a native to Innergy.
Come and have a class with her... and check her website

An old friend...

Markos welcome to our blog. Use the space to drop your...gems! I am in the process of organizing a newsletter/magazine where I want a section dedicated to yogis abroad ,either resident or visiting.  Kind of:"from our correspondent ...." telling us about their present environment. ((omshanti))

Numbness

To stay united it is a demanding task these days: too many distractions, too fragmented motivation. Looking closely at that kind of lifestyle we may find that there are 'almost' no positive factors. The only possible one is that constant change of direction will ease the inner pain of insecurity, of not belonging, of inadequacy. The heaviest price is paid when one's motivation begins to fade and that precious sense of purpose slowly dissolves. Soon...one realizes that the 'gift of feeling' is numbed.

Sunday 22 March 2009

Another beautiful spring day. Make sure you get out in the positiveness of the energy around and, possibly, a stroll in the nearest park for some chlorophyll. While you walk or rest on a bench, have a look inside, within your feelings, and take stock of 'where you are at' . Without judgement, note what 'feels' good and what doesn't in your 'present' circumstances. Not in the past nor in the future. Where are you at right now? No need to take any action, just acknowledge your findings.  The first step to CHANGE is the clear observation of where you are at NOW.
Like on a street city map around the town you find well arrowed:  YOU ARE HERE, in order to help orientation for a tourist. Reflect on the metaphor.....

New Teacher at the Centre

Today a new teacher started taking Fridays at 10:30-12:00 class. Diana Harland has been for 10 years part of TRIPSICHORI ,a dance team interpreting movement through an artistic flow of yoga postures. She teaches a Hatha flow that is adaptable to different levels, whether beginners or advanced. I used to go and see her impressive performances with her associate director Edward. Try her class.

Tonight at 7:30 Raja Yoga is on. Among other issues, we want to touch on what our "me" means and how do we perceive it. What is the image we have of ourselves? Are we happy with it? Do we see the possibility of changing it, improving it? Through your Hatha practice, are you beginning to feel more in your body and therefore more conscious of your identity? Inner and outer?
Well.... come and join us at Raja sessions and interact with us.

Markos Awareness...

A greek ex-student of mine Markos now living in Athens has send me an interesting post which I want to share in this blog. Here it is.......
I am Markos. I am a Greek man of 45, with an English mother and diabetes who lives near the new Acropolis museum in Athens. I am a businessman who used to go to Innergy and is now looking to buy a house for his young family in Athens. I am a person of above average height, mathematical background, no musical ear, an investment in a photo-voltaic energy project, one tooth filling and a small mole on my left cheek.
Each of the sentences above answers the question “Who Am I?”.  All of them are true and each defines me uniquely. But each of these perfectly acceptable answers also limits me terribly. After all, "to be defined" literally means "to be limited". With each successive description or defining characteristic “I” am being shoved into ever smaller and more cramped boxes.  We all know from experience that humans love to belong to groups and be identified with them – football teams, religions, schools, wearers of a certain brand of shoe. Belonging to these groups gives us a sense of inclusion and belonging – but of course by default they also create exclusion, of everybody else.
Think of it another way. Each of my answers above describing “me” also tell us who I am NOT. I am not Swiss, I am not a woman, I do not have a Greek mother, I am not care-free about my sugar levels and I am not a resident of Rome.  Suddenly it doesn’t sound so good.
All of us who have spent any Friday evenings at Innergy (oops, another group to define oneself by!) can begin to appreciate that we do not need to cut ourselves off, do not need to limit ourselves, do not need to define ourselves. Why on earth should we or would we want to? With each breath we can therefore drop a label, escape from the constriction of yet another box, and feel ourselves expand. Let me try it. One breath at a time. Do I feel any different on each line?

I am a Greek man of 45, with an English mother and diabetes who lives near the new Acropolis museum in Athens

I am a Greek man of 45, with an English mother and diabetes

I am a Greek man of 45, with an English mother

I am a Greek man of 45

I am a Greek man

I am a Greek

So far so good! It feels much freer and yet it’s still the good ol' same ol' me! And now for the "salto mortale", or final leap :

I am……..

Amazing! And I can actually go a step further and drop the I, giving:

Am,

am,

ammmmmmmmmm…..

Om Shanti

Eclipse

The other side of the Truth is rising in my feelings
and mingling with the surf of my breath.
There is a strange silence in the uncovering vastness
of what lies beyond. I am pulled into it and I am scared.
A strong current that does not belong to me is forcing me
forward to the edge of my understanding and a glimpse of
being pinned to a wall flashes in my eyes.

FREEDOM

So much talk about freedom...
The flight of a bird on the wing of spring's first appearance.
Freedom from what? Freedom to believe that I could be that bird?
That I am that bird already? The sky is so vast and so blue.
So much talk about freedom...
Today feels pretty strange and confusing. The sun shines , lovely blue sky hinting to an imminent spring.
The energy around feels like we should all meet outdoors, in green nature, leaping from field to field and full of a loud joy of living. Instead, I'm sitting in front of my Mac struggling with the hows to manifest my ideas and ideals in a concrete form. Innergy as a Cultural Centre, a nest for creative living. How to gather enough power to be able to support creative talents, opening doors for them. I know I need support at the level of skill, moral and financial. How can I find it?...
Somebody gave me a book to read titled 'The Yoga Teacher" by Alexandra Gray. The content is about the west
London Yoga scene during last few years. Alex was one of my students around the beginning times of Innergy.
Intelligent, talented and... very good looking, she went on to become a Yoga Teacher of the Scaravelli  lineage.
During our Raja Yoga sessions I often suggested to her that she should write. Her sharp and insightful comments,
I knew, would find their ways on a printed page. Read it, its fun and contemporary.

What am I doing here?

I wake up, sometimes, with an acute sense of disorientation as to what is that I am actually doing here? I feel so inadequate to operate in a world that has so confusing values and yet displays such an arrogant clarity. I am constantly struggling to improve my communication in order to provide the best inner service for people around me.

history

I have come across this photo of me at the beginning of Innergy in 1996. It looked a bit bare compared to now.

Ongoing improvements...

Hi,
the blog is getting better. Im working on it... be patient. Feed me back any problem.
I created the Innergy Centre because I needed to ground my practice, the 'work on myself', in a steady every day routine surrounded by a purposeful environment. My personal practice and my teaching experience.
I needed a platform to convey the broader picture of Yoga, the Yoga that will support the true expression of your potentials. The Centre had to become a space where, almost spontaneously, a creative lifestyle would emerge and a truer way of relating would evolve. 12 years later, through a steady, often challenging progress, I feel I have conquered most of my demons and open the path for many others to conquer theirs.
